The result of spread spectrum IP is remarkable in Yongzhou manganese mine, Hunan Province

来源: 2024-03-27

The exploration of manganese ore resources is carried out by using spread spectrum IP in Yongzhou, Hunan Province. Through measurement and analysis, a concave anomaly zone composed of several highly polarized bodies is found. The intensity of the anomaly zone is 10 times different from that of surrounding rock, and it is prominent and stable. The apparent resistivity measurement results show that the "U" type basin-shaped high resistance base is wrapped with low resistance. It is inferred that the high polarization anomaly zone is caused by underground deposit. However, the high resistance basin bottom wrapped with low resistance indicates that the formation is controlled by synclinal structure. After drilling and exploration, two relatively continuous manganese ore veins, 0.9m ~ 2.8m thick, grade 9.3% ~ 15.2%, were found, which were associated with pyrite and existed in limestone together. The depth and shape profile of the veins are very consistent with the IP anomalies, which shows the effectiveness of the spread-spectrum IP method in the exploration of underground mineral resources.
