Sponsored by GSAI Geophysics, LTD., the International Workshop on Gravity, Electrical & Magnetic Methods (GEM Shenzhen 2024) was successfully held in Southern University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen on May 19-22, 2024. GEM is an international workshop jointly organized by the Chinese Geophysical Society (CGS) and the American Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), providing a platform for industry professionals, government agencies and academics to showcase the latest technological and methodological advances in potential fields and electromagnetic geophysics. And their application in addressing the enormous challenges posed by the energy transition and climate change.

The conference attracted many well-known experts and scholars in the field of geophysics domestic and abroad. The co-chair of the conference, Professor Yaoguo Li of the Colorado School of Mines, attended the conference and presided over the opening and plenary sessions. Professor John Bradford, Vice President, Colorado School of Mines; Professor Marco Antonio Braga, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro; Professor Hu Xiangyun, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan); Professor Lin Tingting, Jilin University; and Professor Adam Schultz, Oregon State University and Professor Keke Zhang of Macao Institute of Space Technology and Application were invited to share wonderful keynote reports at the conference. A total of 12 thematic reports were set up in three lecture halls, and a poster report area was set up outside the lecture hall.
