GSAI participated in the 2022 Annual Conference of Engineering Geophysics of Chinese Geophysical Society

The 2022 Annual Conference of Engineering Geophysics of the Chinese Geophysical Society, sponsored by the Engineering Geophysics Committee of the Chinese Geophysical Society and co-organized by universities, key laboratories, bureau level units and geophysical manufacturers, was successfully held in Quanzhou City, Fujian Province from August 19 to 22, 2022. More than 220 experts and scholars from relevant universities, research institutes, water conservancy and hydropower, railway, urban construction and transportation, coal field, petroleum, geological prospecting, non-ferrous, metallurgy, nuclear industry and other industry systems attended the annual conference, including more than 10 instrument manufacturers such as Giant Sequoia AI Technology (CHANGSHA) Co., LTD.

Before the annual conference officially began, the professional committee of the Engineering Geophysical Society held a general election. Mr. Guo Jian, Secretary-General of the Chinese Geophysical Society, and Academician Di Qingyun, chairman of the fifth session of the Committee, delivered a speech at the conference. Mr. Guo Jian briefly reviewed and summarized the development situation of the Engineering Geophysical Society and other fraternal associations. Academician Di Qingyun recalled the history and achievements of the Committee of the Society of Engineering Geophysics. The tradition of selecting excellent paper awards and the annual "Academician Expert Walk" have been recognized and supported by fellow experts. Academician Di Qingyun also expressed his gratitude to the sponsors for their long-term support.

After Academician Di Qingyun's report on the work of the Fifth session of the Special Committee, Researcher Xu Peifen, as the Secretary-General, introduced the ideas and methods of the transition work and the candidates of the sixth session. After the election process, the members of the sixth Engineering Geophysics Committee were finally determined. Prof. Xu Peifen is the new Chairman, Academician Di Qingyun is the honorary Chairman, and Prof. Xue Guoqiang is the Secretary-General, several Vice-Chairmen and a number of Committee members were also elected.

On the second day, the Annual Conference of Engineering Geophysics officially began. The honorary director, Academician Di Qingyun, Secretary General Guo Jian, Director Xu Peifen, and leaders of co-organizers and brother units delivered speeches respectively. A total of 6 experts were invited to give special guest reports and 50 academic reports. The content included not only the principle algorithm modeling, but also a wealth of practical engineering case analysis. It brought cutting-edge technologies including distributed fiber conduction, Muse imaging, etc. It also covered many classical methods, including micro-motion technology, ground-penetrating radar, high-density electrical method, electromagnetic method, transient electromagnetic method and other ideas and application results to solve some engineering problems.

Dr. Chen Rujun, Associate professor of Central South University and consultant of GSAI, presented a wonderful report entitled "Anti-strong electromagnetic Interference audio magnetotelluric method: Principle and Application". The paper introduced the noise suppression technology and several field comparison tests between GSAI magnetotelluric instrument using noise suppression technology and other similar instruments. The results all show that GSAI instrument has superior noise suppression effect. In addition, the results of GSAI electromagnetic method instrument in Jiangxi prospecting project are briefly introduced.

GSAI also presented a series of instruments and software at this conference, including: GSZA-FW01 full-waveform intelligent impedance analyzer for rock and ore specimens, GSEM-RX2 high-density microelectrode resistivity imaging system for rock samples, GSEM-W10 wide-band magnetotellurism imaging system, GS2IP large-depth high-density spread spectrum IP imaging system; At the same time, The gravity, magnetic, geology and electrical inversion interpretation software such as GSEM-PROS intelligent anti-interference magnetotelluric impedance software, ZondMT2D, TEM2D, Res2D/3D etc. were introduced at the meantime. The booth has obtained a number of experts peer observation and consultation.
